Hillis and Hardesty out for Week 10
The Cleveland Browns will be without running backs Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty this Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Both players were absent for Sunday's 30-12 loss to the Houston Texans.
Hillis suffered a setback in his rehab late last week when he aggravated a bothersome hamstring injury that has plagued the veteran running back all season. To date, Hillis has missed the last three games due to the issue. Meanwhile, Montario Hardesty has been stunted since suffering a moderate calf tear in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Browns currently have only two healthy running backs on their roster with Chris Ogbonnaya -- who started in Sunday's loss -- and Thomas Clayton.
Head coach Pat Shurmur did not dismiss the possibility of adding another runner this week.
"We'll do whatever we have to do to improve our roster," said Shurmur.
Also, wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi was sent home Monday due to concussion symptoms.
