Packers' Randall Cobb says he doesn't deserve new deal

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb says he doesn't believe he's worthy of a new contract.

"I don't believe I've done enough," Cobb told reporters. "And I think that's on me."

Cobb made his remarks one day after teammate Jordy Nelson signed a four-year, $39 million contract.

Cobb caught 80 passes for 954 yards and eight touchdowns two seasons ago.

Last season, Cobb suffered a broken leg that limited his progress.

"I got injured in a way that there was nothing I could do about it," Cobb said. "I think my job is just to come out here every day, do what I'm supposed to, continue to work hard, and hopefully my time will come."

At this time, Cobb said there's no contract talks with the Packers.

"My heart's in Green Bay; I love Green Bay," Cobb said. "The three years I've been here have been unbelievable. But I understand the business side of it."

Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider

Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
