Redskins cut ties with Brandon Jenkins

Jay Gruden and the Redskins aren't putting up with less than 100 percent effort.

Therefore, the organization decided to waive 2013 fifth-round draft pick Brandon Jenkins. According to CSNWashington.com, Jenkins went through the motions during position drills in on Sunday, which led to his release hours later.

Jenkins, 6-2 and 252 pounds, has the size and potential to make a name for himself in the NFL but hasn't seemed to possess the motor to do so yet. The former Florida State product had just one tackle in 2013 and barely saw any playing time over the latter half of the season.

Follow me on Twitter: @JasonHButt
