2,500 Super Bowl workers to be hired
In a struggling economy, the NFL is doing what the President and Congress have not been able to do much of lately - creating jobs.
OK, they're temporary jobs, but the City of Indianapolis is looking for approximately 2,500 people to fill temporary jobs as security, ticket takers, greeters, guest services reps and ushers for Super Bowl XLV in Feb. 5.
The Indianapolis Star explained that while the city is host to the Indianapolis 500 every year that the Super Bowl is uncharted territory regarding accommodating everyone for the event.
Security guards will make $11 per hour, while ushers and ticket takers will make $9.50 an hour and will probably work only on game day.
