San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald's court hearing has been postponed.

McDonald has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, but a decision on whether formal charges will be filed hasn't been determined.

He was originally scheduld to go to court on Monday.

"The investigation of the McDonald matter continues," the Santa Clara District Attorney announced. "Monday's court date will be postponed. A later date will be announced by the court."

The 49ers are allowing McDonald to play because of "due process."
