49ers get pass-rushing boost with LaBoy
The San Francisco 49ers bulked up their pass rush by signing Travis LaBoy to a one-year contract.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the deal is worth $1.6 million. LaBoy flamed out after one season with the Arizona Cardinals. He joined them in free agency after coming over from the Tennessee Titans.
LaBoy figures to help the 49ers as a situational pass rusher and provide them with some depth. The defense struggled getting to the quarterback last season and LaBoy, recovered from a foot injury, is a low-risk investment for them.
