49ers give Daniel Kilgore an extension
The San Francisco 49ers may be looking at their 2011 fifth-round pick to be the center for the near future.
On Thursday, the 49ers reached a three-year extension agreement with center Daniel Kilgore, the organization announced on Thursday.
Kilgore was entering the final year of his rookie contract.
"We are pleased to extend the contract of a talented, young player like Dan,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. “This move is another example of our philosophy to extend the contracts of our own young players.”
