49ers sign Chris Harper to three-year contract

The San Francisco 49ers signed wide receiver Chris Harper off the Seahawks' practice squad, inking him to a three-year contract.

Harper was a fourth-round draft pick out of Kansas State.

He was a surprising cut who was added to the Seahawks' practice squad before the 49ers added him to their 53-man roster

Harper caught four passes for 39 yards in the preseason. However, he had two drops, including a potential touchdown, in the Seahawks' preseason finale.
