Aaron Curry at peace with situation as he runs with 2's
Aaron Curry is running with the second team right now in Seattle but the fourth pick of the 2009 draft says he’s at peace with the situation.
Curry sent some interesting comments out via his Twitter account earlier in the week that could have been translated as a suggestion he’s on the trading block. He politely met with reporters on Wednesday and said re-hashing the tweets wasn’t going to do anyone any good at this point.
“I'm at peace," Curry said, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Tribune. "I have a complete peace of mind right now. I'm feeling blessed. I'm taking this trial that I have and just capitalizing on it.
"Right now, I'm just a second-string outside linebacker. I get to come to work every day and just get a chance to become better as a linebacker."
Curry has not fit into Pete Carroll’s system well and the Seahawks appear to be running out of patience with him. He was drafted by a previous regime for another head coach. According to the report, the Seahawks will not owe Curry any guaranteed money after this season.
Would a fresh start be the best thing for him?
"Who knows?" Curry said.
