Aaron Murray to throw at Pro Day

About five months removed from an ACL tear, former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray will be able to throw at his upcoming Pro Day on April 16.

Murray's agent, Pat Dye, Jr., told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Murray will be able to participate in some drills in front of scouts next week.

"His strength and conditioning coaches and his movement coaches down there say they've very rarely had anybody come through there with the kind work ethic, drive and passion that he has," Dye told the newspaper. "He not only will he be able to give them a representative workout at Pro Day, but he'll be able to do all his drops and roll-outs."

Murray, who tore his ACL against Kentucky on Nov. 23, will not run the 40-yard dash or any of the timed running drills, however.

After falling just short of the BCS National Championship game in 2012, Murray returned for his senior season to try and get back to that point. But the Bulldogs suffered a rash of injuries throughout the season that led to an 8-5 season and a loss to Nebraska in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl.

Murray's size at 6-1 has been a concern for draft analysts, though it should be noted that smaller quarterbacks Drew Brees and Russell Wilson have had plenty of success at the NFL level. In addition, former Texas A&M quarterback and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel figures to be a top 10 pick.

Murray is projected to go in the middle rounds, perhaps in the fourth or fifth.
