Aaron Rodgers: 'We are gonna reload'
Aaron Rodgers is ready to get going.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who is competing in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, is excited that it appears football should be right around the corner as the team gears up to defend its Super Bowl XLV title/
“I think we are gonna reload, I really do,” Rodgers said, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “We have a lot of guys coming back, a lot of guys we’re adding back to the mix, a lot of guys who got a chance last year and played really well.
“We’re gonna take some shots this year with a big target on our back, but I’m excited with the guys we have coming back.”
He doesn’t believe the lockout, which is now more than four months old, will adversely impact the Packers. Why would he?
“Nobody in the Packer organization is worried about it,” Rodgers said. “First of all, we won the Super Bowl. Second of all, we have the same coaching staff coming back and six years with the offense
“If coach (Mike) McCarthy was worried about it at all, and if I was worried about it or Charles (Woodson) was worried about it, we would have put something together. I can promise you, anything that is going on in those workouts, that’s not winning any games on Sundays. That’s helping a team’s chemistry, maybe, but that’s not winning any games on Sunday.”
