Adrian Peterson arrested after incident at Houston nightclub
The focus for Adrian Peterson has been on when the Minnesota Vikings running back will be able to return from a torn ACL.
His goal is to be ready for the start of the season.
Now, he’s got more than a rehabilitation to focus on – Peterson was placed under arrest early Saturday in Houston. According to the Houston Chronicle, Peterson was arrested at a nightclub and charged with resisting arrest after he allegedly shoved an off-duty police officer and then resisted at least two other cops. He was released from the city jail on $1,000 bond.
According to the report, an off-duty officer informed Peterson and a group of people he was talking to it was time to leave the club as it closed. When he told them a second time, Peterson reportedly informed the officer he had heard him the first time and pushed the officer in the shoulder, causing him to stumble.
Peterson wasn’t subdued until three officers total worked to control him. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 13.
