Adrian Peterson downplays ankle injury
From the Pioneer Press:
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson got back on track.
Peterson had his first 100-yard game since the season opener against Cleveland, getting 143 rushing yards on 22 carries and adding four catches for 23 yards in the Vikings' 33-31 victory Sunday over Baltimore.
Peterson suffered a left ankle injury in the fourth quarter but was able to continue playing. With fewer than seven minutes remaining, Peterson caught a pass and was injured on a tackle by linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.
"The guy came off and just made a great play," Peterson said. "My ankle got caught under him some type of way, and I just twisted my ankle up a little bit."
Peterson indicated it wasn't a big concern.
"I was in some pain," he said. "It wasn't broke or anything. Right now it's feeling real good, actually."
