Adrian Peterson motivated to get back on field for fantasy players
Adrian Peterson isn’t fully healthy yet but the Minnesota Vikings running back is thinking about the end of his season as well as the finish line for the thousands and thousands of fantasy football players out there who have him on their roster.
Yes, Peterson doesn’t want to disappoint, even at “85 percent,” according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Peterson is 128 yards shy of his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season and with 165 yards he will top Robert Smith’s franchise record for rushing. Those are noble personal goals.
“It's very important, especially for my fantasy team owners," Peterson said, per the report. "They've been giving me a hard time.
“They'll say, ‘Will you please (play). I'll send my wife down to visit you,’ Sometimes, it's like, wow. Some of the things I read on there is crazy.”
Peterson will interact with the public via Twitter, so he has a handle on the pulse of these fantasy players and fans in general.
"I respond to some of them," he said. "I kind of pick and choose who I respond to. Some things are better left alone."
