Ahmad Bradshaw mulling medical options with neck injury

Indianapolis Colts injured running back Ahmad Bradshaw is mulling over his medical options, visiting specialists in California and Arizona to get second opinions.

He was injured last month against the San Francisco 49ers.

"Ahmad has obviously seen several specialists, collected a lot of information," Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters. "He's going to take the next couple of weeks to kind of sit back and decide where he's going to go with this thing. I don't know ultimately where that is. But in the end, it'll be up to Ahmad and the doctors to come to a final decision on what's going to transpire there. He'll be out at least a couple more weeks."

Bradshaw has a history of neck injuries, getting hurt last year when he was with the New York Giants.

Bradshaw leads the Colts with 186 rushing yards. Trent Richardson will keep starting in his place.

"Again, I think it's a matter of calming things down, taking some time to just figure out where we're at with this thing," Pagano said. "Consult with trainers, doctors and just make the right decision. Ultimately it's what's best for Ahmad."
