A.J. Green spotted in protective boot
On Thursday, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said star receiver A.J. Green could have something worse than turf toe.
As a result, it doesn't look like he'll play this Sunday. According to the Bengals' team site, Green was spotted at practice wearing a protective boot. You'd have to assume based on these two factors that he'll be unable to go against the Panthers.
If Green is in fact out, the Bengals will turn to Mohamed Sanu, Brandon Tate and James Wright as their top three targets. Sanu has been effective this year as a No. 2 receiver but it remains to be seen if he can shoulder the load of being the top target in the receiving game.
