A.J. Green's status not clear for Sunday

After missing the past two weeks, Bengals receiver A.J. Green's toe injury has improved to the point where there's a chance he could play this Sunday against the Ravens.

However, as Green himself said on the NFL Network earlier Tuesday morning, there's no guarantee he'll be able to suit up.

“It’s still up in the air,” Green said.

However, it's worth noting that following Sunday's game, FOX 19's Joe Danneman overheard Green tell a teammate that he will play this coming week. Of course, that's not an official report or anything that would involve clearance from the team's training staff. But it sure sounds like Green is itching to get back on the field.

And the Bengals need Green with the way they've played over the past three weeks. After a hot start, Cincinnati has since fallen back into second place in the AFC North, with the surging Ravens improving to 5-2 and moving to the top of the division.
