Alex Smith suffered a concussion in 49ers' loss
It must have been a mild concussion Alex Smith suffered in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys because the team didn’t find out about it until after the game and he was back practicing today.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports Smith suffered a concussion at some point during Sunday’s game but he showed no signs and didn’t report symptoms until after the game. Since, Smith has passed a neurological exam by the 49ers team physician and an independent doctor.
Smith participated fully in practice and would appear to be on track to start again this week. He was sacked six times in the game and hit other times.
“Tough son of a gun," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh.
