Andre Ellington out for the season

The Arizona Cardinals will be without running back Andre Ellington for the rest of the season.

Following Sunday's 17-14 win over the Chiefs, coach Bruce Arians told reporters that Ellington has a sports hernia that will keep him out for the remaining three regular season games, as well as the playoffs. That's a huge blow to a Cardinals team that lost starting quarterback Carson Palmer earlier this season.

Though rushing yards were sometimes tough to come by behind his offensive line, Ellington still was able to run for 660 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 46 passes for 395 yards and two scores.

Kerwynn Williams, Stepfan Taylor and Marion Grice will work as a group to replace Ellington. Williams actually had a standout day against Kansas City, rushing for 100 yards on 19 carries.
