Andre Johnson 'day-to-day' with mild hamstring strain
The good news for the Houston Texans is that Andre Johnson's left hamstring injury isn't as bad as his right hamstring injury that cost him six weeks earlier this season.
The bad news is that Johnson still might not be able to play this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to the Houston Chronicle. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson suffered a mild hamstring strain, and that the Texans "feel very fortunate" that the injury was not severe.
Johnson's 2011 season has largely been lost due to injury, and Houston has also put its best defensive player, Mario Williams, as well as two quarterbacks in Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart on the shelf. Yet, the team is still 9-3, in a four-way tie for the best record in the AFC and cruising toward the first playoff berth in franchise history.
