Andy Reid club gets together at the combine
The Andy Reid coaching tree has expanded and the old gang got together Friday night at the NFL scouting combine.</p>
Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News detailed the meeting of the minds. Four former assistants under Reid are now head coaches in the league. It’s quite a testament to the success the Philadelphia Eagles have had under Reid, and his ability as a coach. First-year Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur talked about it today, detailing how he, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera, Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo got together for a meal at St. Elmo’s, the popular Indianapolis steak joint.
"We all learned it from Andy, who learned it from Mike (Holmgren)," said Shurmur, carefully noting the accomplishments of the Browns president.
