Antonio Cromartie injures hip in Jets' loss

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie injured his hip again and didn't finish a 19-3 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens.

"It wasn't an impact injury at all," Cromartie said. "Something I just planted wrong, and it gave out on me a little bit."

Cromartie has a history of hip issues, including a broken right hip in 2008 while playing for the San Diego Chargers.

Cromartie allowed a 60-yard reception to Torrey Smith on Sunday.

"It's the first time really this season, during my career, that it's bothered me this much except when it happened in 2008," Cromartie said. "It's just a point of seeing what's going on with it and go from there."
