Arian Foster pulls hamstring on long touchdown run

A pulled hamstring has sidelined Arian Foster in training camp with the Houston Texans.

The NFL’s top rusher a season ago, Foster sat out the team’s second practice Friday with a “heavily wrapped” left leg, according to the Houston Chronicle. Foster came up lame on a 40-yard run on the first play of full 11-on-11 drills in the morning. He declined to discuss the injury afterward.

I don’t know, but he didn’t feel good so I just said ‘Get out,’” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “He went 35, 40 minutes (in practice) and looked great, so I’m hoping he’ll be right back out here. We’ll see.”

Hopefully, it’s not a serious injury. But even a minor pull could sideline a player at least a week. The Texans need him rolling for the start of the season.
