Arrest warrant issued for Arron Sears
An arrest warrant has been issued for former Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Arron Sears, according to the Tampa Tribune, after he failed to show in court for arraignment on battery charges.
It’s a sad continuation of a story that began to fall apart when depression and mental issues combined to ruin his once-promising career with the Buccaneers.
Sears was arrested in November when he was discovered wandering in the street, and he was committed for a mental health evaluation. But authorities were only able to hold him for 72 hours and he was released. Now, his whereabouts are unknown and he faces charges from a June encounter with a Tampa police officer. Sears has been free on $2,000 bond.
