Art Rooney II hopes Polamalu finishes career with Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is due a $8.25 million salary in the final year of his contract next season.
He carries a $10.88 million salary-cap figure.
During a conference call with Steelers reporters, team president Art Rooney II said he wants Polamalu to retire as a Steeler.
“How we structure or restructure (Polamalu's contract) is something we will look at in the next few months,” Rooney said. “There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle, but I certainly expect Troy will be one of the pieces to that puzzle. He's obviously been one of the great Steelers of all time.”
