Auburn cornerback Blake Countess visited, worked out or met with over 13 NFL teams, including the New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins. Countess ran a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash at his campus Pro Day workout. He had a 36 1/2 inch vertical leap, bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times, more reps than many linemen. Countess had a 10-2 broad jump. He met with seven NFL teams, interviewed by the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New York Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The former All-Big Ten Conference selection and Michigan transfer was effective in coverage last season, shadowing some of the top receivers in the Southeastern Conference. He recorded 71 tackles, two interceptions and 11 passes defended. A native of Owings Mills, Md., and a former blue-chip recruit from Good Counsel, Countess has been training at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Although Countess only played one season at Auburn after transferring from Michigan where he intercepted six passes in one season, he made an impact. Countess visited Arizona and signed with Auburn after considering visits to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
