Barkevious Mingo out against Miami
Browns first-round choice Barkevious Mingo will not play in the season-opener against Miami, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Mingo punctured his lung during the preseason and was considered 50/50 for the season-opener. There's still a chance the outside linebacker can return for Week 2 against Baltimore. He was a limited participant in practice this week.
Though the Browns would like to get Mingo involved on defense early, they still have a pretty solid trio of Paul Kruger, Jabaal Sheard and Quentin Groves at outside linebacker, meaning they should be fine even without Mingo on Sunday.
