Beanie Wells looks to be OK for Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals have finally discovered a running game with Beanie Wells, so it was naturally concerning when his hamstring tightened up in practice on Thursday, casting doubt on his availability for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Wells has rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns and has given Arizona some balance in its attack. The good news is it appears he’ll be OK, according to Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic.
“It's exciting," Wells said. "We've had the run game going the last two weeks and I'm excited to build off that.”
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Wells would be monitored leading up to game time but there’s no reason at this point to believe it’s anything serious. The Cardinals look to be headed in the right direction with Kevin Kolb at quarterback. Against the 0-2 Seahawks, it’s a chance to get ahead in the downtrodden NFC West.
