Bears' Ogunleye out for season
From Vaughn McClure of Chicago Tribune:
BALTIMORE -- A dejected Adewale Ogunleye sat in a chair outside the Bears locker room, crutches in his hand and a walking boot covering his left foot.
The Bears co-captain and veteran defensive end's season came to an end Sunday after he suffered a small fracture to his left fibula. The injury occurred in the third quarter of the 31-7 loss to the Ravens, and such an injury typically takes six weeks to heal.
Ogunleye is unlikely to need any type of surgery.
Ogunleye declined to comment after the game, but his future as a Bear now seems in doubt. His contract expires at the end of the season and the Bears might want to lean more toward a youth movement rather than offer the 32-year-old a new contract.
