Bears sign 5th round pick Joshua Moore
It will take some quick work, but maybe the Bears can have all of their draft picks under contract by the start of minicamp Friday.
You never know. The team signed its second pick in three days as it announced that cornerback Joshua Moore, a fifth-round pick from Kansas State, has signed a four-year contract. That leaves the team with three remaining unsigned picks after seventh rounder J’Marcus Webb signed on Sunday.
Moore is a departure from what the Bears have looked for at the position in recent years. He’s taller and has strong man-to-man coverage skills, a departure from the players with good zone coverage traits that Lovie Smith’s regime has sought in the past.
The remaining unsigned picks are safety Major Wright (3rd round), defensive end Corey Wootton (4th round) and quarterback Dan LeFevour (6th round).
