Bears sign Alan Ball to one-year deal
The Chicago Bears have signed veteran cornerback Alan Ball to a one-year contract.
Ball previously visited the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers offered Ball a one-year, $2 million contract, according to a league source.
Under the terms of that offer, Ball would have received a $1 million signing bonus and a $950,000 base salary with a $50,000 workout bonus.
Instead, Ball has signed with the Bears.
