Bears sign Saints RFA tight end Josh Hill to offer sheet

The Chicago Bears have signed New Orleans Saints restricted free agent tight end Josh Hill to an offer sheet. The Saints have five days to match. The Saints have just $1.298 million in available salary-cap space. Hill was given the $1.671 million low tender. He's previously visited the New York Jets. Hill caught 16 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns last year. For his career, Hill has 36 receptions for 340 yards and eight touchdowns. The Bears have Zach Miller and Rob Housler on the roster, trading Martellus Bennett to the New England Patriots. The Saints lost tight end Ben Watson to the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent.
