Bengals announce sellout for Ravens
The Cincinnati Bengals announced today that Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens is a sellout, just the second this year at Paul Brown Stadium.
The Bengals are 9-6 and have the easiest trek into the AFC playoffs among the four teams still alive for the final wild-card berth, needing only to win against the Ravens in order to reach the postseaosn.
“Our fans have made a tremendous response this week to our sales efforts, and we thank the entire community for its support of the Bengals,” Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn said. “We’re pleased that the game will be on television for everyone, and we look forward to the fans at Paul Brown Stadium giving us a great home field advantage for a very important game against Baltimore.”
The Bengals only previous sellout this season was when the Pittsburgh Steelers came to town. In order to sell out Sunday's game, the Bengals offered a "buy one, get one free" ticket package for season ticket holders, a ploy that helped to keep the game from being blacked out in the local area.
