Bengals IR Devon Still, Alex Smith, sign Nwagbuo

The Cincinnati Bengals signed veteran free agent defensive tackle Ogemdi Nwagbuo, a fourth-year player from Michigan State.

Nwagbuo has 36 career NFL games played with six starts. He played for San Diego from 2009 to 2011 and also was with Carolina in ’2011. He played in one game for Detroit in 2012 and was with the Lions in the preseason, waived on Aug. 31. He has 44 career tackles, including 1.5 sacks, two passes defensed and a fumble recovery.

The Bengals placed defensive tackle Devon Still on injured reserve. He suffered a herniated disc in practice on Dec. 18.

Tight end Alex Smith was placed on injured reserve after he suffered a dislocated wrist this past Sunday against the Ravens.

The Bengals today signed free agents cornerback Brandon Burton and defensive tackle Zach Minter to reserve-future contracts. .
