Bengals pick up veteran tight end Lee

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed veteran tight end Donald Lee and wiaved cornerback Rico Murray.

Lee, entering his ninth season, played the past six years for the Green Bay Packers and has 198 career receptions for 1,875 yards and 19 touchdowns.

With vested veterans no longer having their contracts guaranteed after the first week of the season, expect a flurry of activity around the NFL this week as teams stock their roster for depth.

Lee was originally a fifth-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2003 and spent two seasons in Miami.
He was let go by the Packers in March and signed by the Philadelphia Eagles once the lockout was lifted, but was let go in final cuts.

Murray, a second-year pro from Kent State, played on special teams in last week’s game at Cleveland.
