Bengals place Tyler Eifert on injured reserve-designated to return

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert dislocated his elbow and is being placed on injured reserve-designated to return.

Eifert will miss at least the next eight games.

He's eligible to return for the Bengals' Week 10 game against the Cleveland Browns.

The first-round draft pick from last year caught three passes for 37 yards prior to the injury.

The Bengals will go with Jermaine Gresham as their primary tight end.
