Bengals re-sign Michael Johnson

After one bad season and making $16 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, defensive end Michael Johnson is back to the Cincinnati Bengals.

It's a four-year contract. Johnson had 11.5 sacks in 2012 He had 74 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 33 quarterback pressures in 2013. Last season, he had four sacks and two forced fumbles. He had 26.5 sacks with the Bengals. "Our entire organization is just ecstatic about getting Mike back," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. "He's earned tremendous respect from coaches, teammates, management. He did tremendous things for us while he was here, and we look forward to having him blend back in and uplift us as defensive football team. Johnson visited the Minnesota Vikings before agreeing to terms with the Bengals. Johnson left the Buccaneers after making $16 million of his $23 million guaranteed and saves the Buccaneers $7 million by cutting him before Thursday.
