Benson not drawing much interest yet

Cedric Benson has not yet made any free agent visits, the veteran running back told Alex Marvez on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Wednesday.

Benson was a bust with the Chicago Bears as a first-round pick in 2005, but resurrected his career as a productive workhorse running back with the Cincinnati Bengals for the past four years, including three consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

Off-field incidents have still flared up with Benson from time to time, as he was suspended for one game in 2011 over a misdemeanor assault case.

At 29, Benson is reaching the age where teams no longer want to invest much in running backs. He said that wherever he goes he expects to be part of a two-back tandem.
