Benson suspension reduced to one game
Cedric Benson's three-game suspension has been reduced to one game, plus a fine, according to a source and various reports.
Benson had been given a three-game suspension for an incident that occurred during the NFL lockout and had appealed the suspension, as well as filing an unfair labor practice charge against the NFL Players Association regarding an agreement that allowed NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discipline eight players who were repeat offenders that got into trouble during the lockout.<p> Benson is expected to serve the one-game ban against the Seattle Seahawks, just after he Bengals' bye week this week. He would then be eligible to return and play on Nov. 6 when the Bengals travel to play the Tennessee Titans.
