Bernard Berrian continues to fall out of favor in Minnesota
Bernard Berrian took a pay cut to remain with the Minnesota Vikings before the season began.
Now, it’s possible he gets cut, period.
The wide receiver was de-activated for the second time in three games on Sunday. This time, it wasn’t for disciplinary reasons as it was when Berrian overslept and missed meetings. Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 reports that coach Leslie Frazier was vague about the issue.
“It's something that we'll talk about this week and we'll talk about it more this week," Frazier said. “(It was) just a decision that I made that we'll probably get into later on in the week.”
Per the report, the move was made shortly before the loss to the Green Bay Packers began at the Metrodome.
If the Vikings have receivers that don’t want to be a part of the program, they need to be careful with a rookie quarterback like Christian Ponder. We’ll see where this heads. Berrian has seven catches for 91 yards this season. Who knows what’s going on right now?
"Just some general things that we have to talk through and be able to handle,” Frazier said.
