Big Ben, Pouncey injuries described as 'not good'

The diagnosis of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and center Maurkice Pouncey was "not good," according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Both players suffered high ankle sprains in Thursday night's 14-3 Steelers victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Roethlisberger did manage to finish the game, but was in a walking boot to protect his injured ankle, according to his agent Ryan Tollner.

Pouncey did not finish the game, and the Steelers may be more worried about his availability next Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers than Roethlisberger's. Pouncey, as an offensive lineman, has to use his ankle to gain leverage while blocking.

The good news for both players is the Steelers played on Thursday and have 10 days to get both Roethlisberger and Pouncey ready for the 49ers.
