Biggs: Beason countersues over strip joint incident
What we have here is a case of he said, he said, after she danced. Or something like that.
Jon Beason has countersued the man who accused the Carolina Panthers linebacker of punching him at a strip club in Charlotte, N.C., last November.
The report in the Charlotte Observer claims that Benon filed suit Tuesday and said he has been “injured in his good name, has suffered humiliation and distress, has been subjected to insults.”
The man who accused Beason of slugging him Nov. 16 at Uptown Cabaret said he was assaulted after he said he saw Beason using cocaine at Lake Norman during the offseason. Gregory Frye said he was punched in the face, and Beason was arrested Nov. 30. Frye then sued Beason. Charges against the linebacker were dropped Dec. 11 as police said they had no evidence other than Frye’s claim.
Beason said in his lawsuit that he has spent more than $10,000 in lawyer fees already.
