Biggs: Could Vikings pursue L.T.?
Could the Minnesota Vikings be fixing to pair L.T. with All Day?
Don’t rule it out. It’s a natural fit when you think about it as the Vikings go about trying to replace Chester Taylor, who darted for the Chicago Bears in free agency. Minnesota needs a veteran back with experience in pass protection and as a receiver. That is what Taylor did well in the offense on third down. Is there a better choice out there than LaDainian Tomlinson?
The Minneapolis Star Tribune floats the very idea this morning while pointing out that no signing is around the corner. Tomlinson, 30, wouldn’t count against the final eight plan for the Vikings because he was released by the San Diego Chargers. Tomlinson, 30, has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons but with a reduced workload, he might be a good fit.
Drew Brees had lobbied for his former teammate in New Orleans. Maybe Tomlinson could help lure Brett Favre back. Who knows?
