Biggs: Cowboys bump up RB Washington again
With running back Felix Jones reportedly staying behind in Dallas while the Cowboys traveled to Kansas City this afternoon, the club has made a move to add depth at the position for the second straight week.
Chauncey Washington has been signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, and he will back up Tashard Choice and Marion Barber while also filling a role on special teams.
In order to make room for Washington, the Cowboys terminated the contract of vested veteran Duke Preston. Washington was promoted last week for the game at Denver before being cut and re-signed to the practice squad. Preston will receive a game check because he was cut so late in the week.
It’s also believed the Cowboys will be without wide receiver Roy Williams, who suffered a rib injury last week.
