Biggs: Edwards should be OK for Vikings

The best chance the Minnesota Vikings have of beating the New Orleans Saints Sunday in the NFC Championship Game is dominating up front and limiting Drew Brees’ time to sit in the pocket.

One of the key components, left end Ray Edwards, has a “mildly sprained” MCL in his right knee according to Steve Wyche of the NFL Network.

Edwards sprained the Cowboys’ Super Bowl hopes on Sunday when he sacked Dallas quarterback Tony Romo three times and had six quarterback hurries. That’s going to make Edwards day-to-day this week and probably Wyche reported he should be able to start.
