Biggs: Falcons' Babineuax arrested on drug charges
Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Babnineaux was arrested Thursday night during a routine traffic stop after a police officer smelled marijuana in the player’s SUV, the report stated.
Babnineaux was released from the Gwinnett County Jail at about 5 a.m. after paying a $5,700 bond.
Babineaux and another man in his Cadillac Escalade, Aaron Robinson, were arrested. The report states that Babineuax will meet with team officials this morning.
A police officer found three bags of marijuana containing 40 grams of the drug. Babineuax was also charged with driving without a license, driving with an expired tag and having no tag light, in addition he was charged with having his windows tinted tool dark.
