Biggs: Favre hints he has an idea what future holds

On the morning of the second NFC Championship Game in three seasons for Brett Favre, Fox Sports’ John Czarnecki reports that Brett Favre hinted to the network’s Pam Oliver that he knows what he’s going to do next year.

Of course, Favre doesn’t come out and say if he’s in or if he’s out. Would you expect anything less from the 40-year-old gunslinger at this point? And who is to say whatever he’s thinking now he won’t be thinking come, say, late August?

Favre has had a remarkable season and there’s little doubt he’s the difference the Vikings needed to reach this point, one win shy of Super Bowl XLIV. There’s also little doubt Favre has little interest in a full offseason program. But that hasn’t stopped him from playing the last couple seasons, has it?

Specaultion will be rampant regarding Favre and 2010. If the Vikings can close the season with two victories, it’s probably a fair bet that would prompt him to ride off into the sunset. Anything short of that, and there will always be doubt about Favre and his desire to play when the 2010 season comes near. Right?
