Biggs: Favrepalooza II moved into prime slot by Fox
After ESPN capitalized on Brett vs. the Packers to gain the largest cable television audience ever, Fox isn’t going to miss out on its opportunity to pound Favre’s return to Lambeau Field.
The network and the NFL will move Favrepalooza II on Nov. 1 from noon to 3:15 p.m. to capture as many viewers as possible, reports Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
That will make the Minnesota Vikings-Green Bay Packers game the marquee event that weekend for Fox. The big matchup was going to be Giants-Eagles, but much of the country will not get the Vikings-Packers showdown. Giants-Eagles has been moved to noon now, according to Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Favre threw three touchdown passes in the Vikings’ 30-23 victory over the Packers on Oct. 5 at the Metrodome.
