Biggs: Giants banged up as they make playoff push
The New York Giants’ wild-card hopes are alive and the team needs some help, not to mention a little health.
The club listed four key players as doubtful for Sunday’s meeting with Carolina, which is coming off perhaps its best game of the season in an upset of the Minnesota Vikings.
Right tackle Kareem McKenzie (knee), left guard Rich Seubert (knee), cornerback Cory Webster (knee) and cornerback Aaron Ross (hamstring) are doubtful, meaning it’s unlikely they will suit up and play. Rookie William Beatty is expected to replace McKenzie, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger, and Kevin Boothe should sub for Seubert.
Of course, maybe the Giants catch a break as Panthers running backs DeAngelo Williams (ankle, doubtful) and Jonathan Stewart (Achilles, questionable) are not 100 percent.
