Biggs: Giants CB Ross unlikely to play Sunday
Aaron Ross is having problems with his pesky hamstring injury that has sidelined him since early in preseason. The New York Giants cornerback suffered a setback in practice on Wednesday with his goal to take the field Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. He sat out practice on Thursday and now is unlikely to play, meaning he will miss a fourth game.
Ross admitted he was “very frustrated,” and the Giants will likely go with Kevin Dockery in his place.
The good news is that wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is almost back from missing two games with a sprained foot. Nicks practiced fully on Thursday, signaling there is a chance he will play.
The better news is the schedule continues to cut the Giants a break as they work through some injuries. After traveling to Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday, they will host the Oakland Raiders next week. Looks like a path to 5-0.
